RollXO
RollXO is a recipe, pantry-tracking and shopping-list app that runs entirely on your device. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
RollXO does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. RollXO has no account, no sign-in and no registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location or any other identifier, and there is no server for such information to be sent to. Everything you type into the app — your pantry, your shopping list, your cook name — stays in the app's own storage on your device.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, RollXO stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Pantry contents — the ingredients you mark as being in your cupboards, and their aisle.
- Shopping list — items you have added, and whether each is ticked off.
- Cook record — which recipes you have cooked and when, used to draw your streak, your seven-day chart and your achievements.
- Profile — the cook name you type and the avatar icon you pick. Both are yours alone; they are never sent anywhere and are only used to greet you in the app.
- Preferences — default servings, diet filter, and your aisle-grouping and match-ring toggles.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to RollXO or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
None. RollXO's Android manifest declares no runtime permissions at all — not camera, not location, not microphone, not contacts, not storage, and not even internet access. The iOS build requests no permissions either and declares no usage descriptions, because there is nothing it needs to ask for.
Network use
RollXO is fully offline. It makes no network requests of any kind, and on Android it does not hold the INTERNET permission, so the operating system itself would block one. All twenty-one recipes are bundled inside the app when you install it, which is why it behaves identically in aeroplane mode or in a kitchen with no signal. There are no endpoints, no cloud sync and no remote configuration.
Third-party services
None that collect data. RollXO integrates no analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK — there is no Firebase, no AdMob, no Crashlytics, no Sentry and no equivalent. The app uses only open-source Flutter packages that run locally: Hive for on-device storage, flutter_bloc for state, fl_chart for your cook chart, and share_plus for the share sheet. The share sheet is the one place data leaves the app, and only when you choose it: tapping Share on a recipe hands the recipe text to your device's own share dialog, and whatever app you then pick — Messages, Mail, a notes app — receives it under its own privacy policy. Nothing is shared unless you tap Share and choose a destination yourself.
Children's privacy
RollXO is safe for all ages and is not directed at children specifically. Because the app collects nothing, transmits nothing and shows no ads, it cannot collect personal information from a child under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). No parental consent mechanism is required, because there is no data collection to consent to.
Your rights
Because your data never leaves your device, you already have complete control of it and there is nothing for us to access, export or delete on your behalf. You can clear individual items from within the app at any time, and uninstalling RollXO permanently removes every box it created — pantry, shopping list, cook record, profile and preferences — from your device. We hold no copy, so there is no request to make. If you have a question about any of this, write to us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
